PARIS, April 8, 2026 – AZmed, a leading artificial intelligence (AI) company in medical imaging, and RADIN Health, a U.S. cloud-based, all-in-one RIS, PACS, Dictation AI, Study orchestration platform, have come together under a strategic distribution agreement.
Through this partnership, RADIN will make AZmed's Rayvolve® products available across its nationwide network of outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, and radiology practices. This includes AZtrauma for detection of fractures and AZchest for analysis and triage of thoracic abnormalities.
According to a study published in the Journal of the American College of Radiology and reported by Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute, the shortage of board-certified radiologists entering the workforce is projected to persist through 2055. There are thousands unfilled positions in radiology and a clear need to improve workflow efficiency, diagnostic support, and reading throughput.
"Radiologists want an AI solution that can be used immediately upon receipt of a study rather than having to open a separate system to access that data. Our Rayvolve® AI Suite provides the solution to both reduce diagnostic risk and improve workflow in practices, as they are placed at the point of care," said Julien Vidal, Chief Executive Officer of AZmed.
RADIN delivers that promise. Its cloud native AI empowered platform, built for speed and productivity, now intelligently processes nearly two million studies annually. Images and study documents and other data using DICOM SR (Structured Reporting) and AI OCR (including handwritten technologist sheets, notes, prescriptions, and prior reports) are automatically analyzed, processed and the extracted data intuitively presented with all clinical information at the fingertips of the radiologist to apply to the reports, expediting report creation. Using AI-assisted dictation mode, with no need to dictate punctuation or formatting, radiologists can generate structured reports and impressions in seconds, increasing reporting speed by up to 70% compared with legacy dictation systems.
AZmed SR images and data are intelligently integrated in RADIN PACS to support AI-driven reporting tool insights. There is no need for manual entry or risk of human error. "Our north star at RADIN is to eliminate every single disruption in radiology workflow. Now, by integrating with AZmed's AI solutions, we can consistently and immediately identify and triage fractures and critical thoracic pathologies before the radiologist ever opens the study. Our AI is fully optimized to support and prepare the radiologist for the study at hand. The partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to integrate image analysis solutions into our All-In-One SaaS platform," said Dr. Alejandro Bugnone, MSK radiologist and Chief Executive Officer of RADIN Health.
Cohen et al., in their 2026 article published in Radiography, report the clinical validation research underpinning this integration. The study evaluated the Rayvolve® products with 258,373 X-rays from 100 medical centers across 26 countries and 5 continents. Each examination was annotated through dual-reader consensus over three years of data collection.
AZtrauma and AZchest are used daily in RADIN by Total Medical Imaging whose outpatient imaging teleradiology practice identifies, triages and optimizes their radiologists reading workflow experience. At the upcoming RBMA PaRADigm conference (Orlando, Florida, April 12-15), RADIN Health will showcase AZmed's Rayvolve® products in a live demonstration at Booth #515.
