AZmed’s Radiology AI reaches Romanian sites via native PACS integration

AZmed, one of the leading AI radiology companies with installations in 2,500+ sites across 57+ countries, is now natively integrated into PixelData PACS for AI-assisted detection and worklist prioritization in Romania.

Romanian hospitals can access the Rayvolve® AI Suite within the primary diagnostic PACS viewer at the point of interpretation, an implementation directed toward increasing departmental throughput. Single sign-on is preserved; no additional logins are required. The implementation is designed to reduce the median reporting turnaround time without impacting quality-assurance controls and immutable audit logs. This will allow sites to focus on studies like suspected osseous fractures or acute thoracic findings.

When predefined KPI thresholds are achieved, Romanian healthcare providers can now scale deployment via the PixelData PACS environment to compare interpretation time, diagnostic sensitivity, and addendum frequency."

Rayvolve® has four modules that cover high-volume use cases. AZtrauma is used for suspected osseous fractures, joint dislocations, and assessment of joint effusions, whereas AZchest encompasses thoracic abnormalities such as pulmonary nodules, pneumothorax, and pleural effusion. AZmeasure automatically produces linear and angular MSK measurements. AZboneage calculates pediatric bone age based on the Greulich & Pyle method and performs skeletal maturity assessment per the Greulich & Pyle atlas. For both pediatric and adult workflows, algorithmic inference time is < 60 s per study.

All deployments are GDPR-compliant with data minimization and pseudonymization/de-identification. Healthcare organizations may choose to use EU-resident cloud deployment, on-prem deployment, or both, depending on their needs. The modules are CE-marked medical device software (SaMD).

Rayvolve®, the AI-enabled SaMD, is designed to deliver computerized clinical decision support. AI-driven radiology workflows are available to Romanian healthcare providers in tertiary, regional, and community settings. Romanian healthcare institutions can procure the native PACS integration through PixelData. Interested sites can request pilot evaluations tailored to local governance and workflow.
